Getting a seat in a medical college to pursue MBBS in Tamil Nadu is a dream of many students in the state. Every year many students apply for the MBBS admission in the state and its affiliated colleges. The Tamil Nadu MBBS Admissions are based on the National Eligibility Entrance Examination (NEET-UG) conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) every year.
In order to avail of MBBS Admissions in Tamil Nadu, the candidates have to meet certain criteria. They need to be domicile of Tamil Nadu and hold a valid NEET UG score. The majority of the MBBS Undergraduate Seats in the Government Medical Colleges in Tamil Nadu are offered on the basis of Merit Scores or Rank achieved in the NEET-UG Result. It is to be noted that Private Medical Colleges are self-financed and considered as less prestigious than the Government Colleges. The admission process of Private Medical Colleges takes longer than the Government Medical Colleges.
